How do i get listeners to call in my show while i am on air

You need to activate the "Call in" option in the channel settings (extended settings). There you also find additional instructions.

I live in Hamilton Ontario Canada.

the numbers work in Canada, although you should check what the cost is if you're calling a US number from Canada.

Hi bigmike...Newbie here. I too live in Canada (Niagara Falls). Do I understand that I would call this NY number and there would be LD charges?. I also see in the BROADCAST OPTIONS, Internet (From everywhere). What is this choice about versus the numbers to call?. And lastly, are there any plans for a Canadian phone number?.

Hi,
regarding the charges calling the NY number from Canada: i honestly don't know.

Sending via Internet is very easy. Just go to the broadcast page and click "Start web phone". A "telephone" will pop up, which can be used for sending. You don't have to worry about charges the, and the quality is also better than when dialing in with a normal phone.

Yep works fine!

I'm getting busy signal when i dialed US number. Do I really need to add "+" to numbers. I'm using Ooma phone.

Another tip....if you have a guest caller who has a cell phone and MY Circle or Calling Group that is part of their wireless service. They can add the NEW YORK number to the list and it usually will then be a free call from the cell phone.

I have done it with the My Circle and Family & Friends at Verizon and when I call the number from my cell the call is now free.

Will there ever be a Canadian Number up so that there won't be long distance charges?

That would depend on the long distance rates that apply.

The number wasn't working last night. I only got a call restriction message when we tried to call in.
